Jak Barton joins the Team

Jak Barton & Darran Smith from Purple Rhino pressure washing services

27th April 2015 General

One year ago Jak came to visit Purple Rhino offices to ask for a job. We couldn’t employ him at that time, not because of his disability but because our van insurances cover from 25 years old and Jak was too young.

He came again one month ago to visit us and said: ‘Look, I’ve got my own van, can I have a job?’ Darran Simth, Purple Rhino’s Manager, didn’t hesitate about that. Jak’s motivation for work impressed him and here he is now, joining the Purple Rhino’s team.

Jak Barton was born deaf and he has got difficulties on speech, but he has shown everybody there is no barriers if you don’t create them. Jak’s determination has given all of us a lesson. There is no place for negative thoughts. If you really want something, believe you can do it and you will.

  • Thanks for completing the work on time in these most challenging of conditions

    Morgan Sindall Site Supervisor

  • “Purple Rhino first sent us through an informative booklet about Industrial building cleaning in March 2013, I invited them down to survey our six storey building in Crawley, West Sussex known as The Atrium, they agreed to carry out a test sample FREE of charge and without obligation. The test results were extremely positive and it was agreed that the whole building façade and glass restoration service was needed to make the building look presentable once again. The works took them just over three weeks, and they gained access by using the building’s own cradle system and the use of Access Platforms, with minimal disruption to our staff and neighbours, the building now looks extremely good as it did when constructed. We will be using Purple Rhino for an agreed scheduled cleaning service to keep the building looking pristine at all times”

  • Our listed railway station is built entirely of wood and our Pullman railway carriages  are also built of timber and all these structures require regular and gentle washing, without harmful chemicals, to preserve the paint.  We have used Purple Rhino for over 2 years and their structured approach to this large task ensures our buildings and windows stay in pristine condition.  Their use of specially purified water ensures a streak-free finish every time
