What Chemicals are Used to Soft Wash Flat Roofs?
A great question, and often asked by people who are considering what chemicals are used to soft wash flat roofs.
When considering cleaning a flat roof surface, switch your mindset from cleaning to treating. Treating a flat roof with a soft wash solution will kill off all organic matter by completely sanitising the surface.
Because Green Wash has been made for soft washing flat roofs. It is considered to be the best product for you to use.
When using a Blend system manufactured by SoftWash Systems in Ashford, Kent, it will allow you to carefully “blend” the required strength of chemicals to achieve excellent clean flat roofs.
Different chemicals are safely stored inside different chemical tanks and controlled by metering valves to allow the user to easily set the dial for the amount required.
Sodium Hypochlorite is the main ingredient for a soft wash solution. Max strength is 5%.
The soft wash solution is delivered to the flat roof surface by a chemical pump through a 100 metre hose, and through a soft washing wand.
Because the sodium hypochlorite and Green Wash are mixed with water they make up a Soft Wash mix.
Sprayed onto a surface carefully and from a distance of 3 feet or more, oxygen is brought into the mix which in turn makes bleach, bleach better.
