What is The Best Way to Clean Cladding?

Soft washing is the alternative to pressure washing, it uses 1/3rd the water at low pressure.

Soft washing will safely remove all types of organic matter infestation and spider webs from the cladding façade to all types of industrial and commercial buildings.

The soft wash method is suitable for metal as well as plastisol type cladding both horizontal and vertical types.

The Soft Wash cladding cleaning van can be parked in a safe location and has 100 metres of hose which can also be extended when required, so reaching all areas of the cladding should not be an issue.

Soft Washing sprays on a solution known as Green Wash which has been formulated to achieve the very best results for your building’s cladding cleaning project. Once applied, it is allowed to dwell for 15-20 minutes. It is then rinsed off with a neutralising product known as Final Wash. The end result is not only clean looking cladding, because the product contains hydrophobic and UV protective properties the cladding will look bright and shiny too. It often lasts for 4-6 times longer when compared to pressure washing. Which reduces the frequency of bothersome pressure washing to your buildings cladding façade.

Note: In many cases when pressure/jet washing method is used, the cladding can look dull and faded due to hard water staining. The cladding can also suffer from UV damage which will be chalky to the touch. If this is the case a different method of restoration will be required to bring back the original colour of the cladding. Reds, Greens and blues would often look faded when UV damage has occurred you wil see it looking washed out.

Cladding Cleaning using the Soft Wash method is suitable for all cladding heights, it can usually reach 35ft from the ground, but sometimes access MEWPS will be required.

Cedar Wood Cladding can be safely treated and left clean too.

What our Clients Think

  • “Purple Rhino first sent us through an informative booklet about Industrial building cleaning in March 2013, I invited them down to survey our six storey building in Crawley, West Sussex known as The Atrium, they agreed to carry out a test sample FREE of charge and without obligation. The test results were extremely positive and it was agreed that the whole building façade and glass restoration service was needed to make the building look presentable once again. The works took them just over three weeks, and they gained access by using the building’s own cradle system and the use of Access Platforms, with minimal disruption to our staff and neighbours, the building now looks extremely good as it did when constructed. We will be using Purple Rhino for an agreed scheduled cleaning service to keep the building looking pristine at all times”
