Hospital exterior sanitising
Hospital exterior sanitising rather than cold water pressure washing is what is needed when you are considering a company to take care of your hospital’s façade.
SoftWashing is an alternative to pressure washing. Treats the exterior surfaces on hospitals. Render, cedar wood and cladding are left free from organic matter for long periods of time. SoftWashing lasts typically four to six times longer lasting than pressure washing.
Hospital Sanitising Guidelines
Hospital sanitising guidelines – here in the UK most people think Pressure Washing has all the answers. In fact when you pressure wash exterior surfaces you only make matters worse. The reason? The organic matter has not been fully removed, it has only had a “haircut”. When you mow grass it grows back quicker and thicker, so does the organic matter on hospitals render, wood and cladding. The organic infestation comes back worse than before it was pressure washed cleaned in only a short space of time.
It is essential to treat the hospitals exterior surfaces with a soft Wash solution. Achieve a long lasting sanitised clean finish on all types of through coloured renders, cedar woods and plastisol type cladding through Softwashing. Sanitise the render spores so the organic matter cannot re grow. This is what makes a SoftWash sanitising treatment the best way when cleaning hospital exterior substrates.
Hospital Sanitising Procedure
Hospital sanitising procedure – high level hospital wall sanitising is achieved by using a controlled stream which can safely reach up to thirty seven feet. The solution is pumped up from the SoftWashing vans holding tanks. Additional heights can be reached using high modular telescopic SoftWash poles or utilising elevated working platforms or scaffolding. Abseiling could be other method used to safely reach and sanitise all surfaces.
Organic matter shows itself in many colours such as green, blue, orange, red, black which grows quickly across hospital walls. Making them not only unsightly but unhealthy. Ancient Cyanobacterias are thriving on today’s modern buildings, and hospital are no exception.
Purple Rhino are extremely experienced when it comes to hospital wall sanitising. We have treated many hospitals throughout the UK including Wexham Park, Slough, Blackburn Hospital, Meadowfield Hospital, Roseberry Park Hospital, Middlesborough and Stoke Mandeville, Aylesbury to name a few.

Mr X Director
Golden Lane, BrightonWe would confirm Purple Rhino undertook the cleaning of ten large internal courtyard areas at the above hospital. As may be expected with hospital work complications did arise particularly from The Trust who had concerns with regards to patients in individual wards all of which were adjacent to the working areas. Not withstanding these problems Purple Rhino worked quickly and diligently with all parties so as to mitigate the issues and were able to complete in a timely and expeditious manner. All parties, including The Trust, were most appreciative with the quality of the completed works. In view of these experiences with Purple Rhino, we would not hesitate to recommend them for any future works relating to cleaning facades.
