National Maintenance Week

26th November 2014 Special Days
It is National Maintenance Week so it is time to check if your house or building is ready for the winter.
The main purpose of the National Maintenance Week is to create awareness in the society about the importance of taking care of small bits in our house, which can create big problems when the bad weather arrives, if we don’t take them in consideration.
The Society for Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) is who started this initiative 13 years ago. They base all their idea in William Morris manifesto (who was one of the SPAB founders in 1877), which declares the importance of the proper conservation of the National Heritage.
Following his ideals it is time now to prevent any damage that winter can cause in our house. Cleaning blocked downpipes is one of the tips that SPAB gives us. Here you can find some more.
National Maintenance Week is held from Friday November 21 – Friday November 28.
So get to work on it and don’t hesitate to contact professionals for the difficult bits.
