Brown Powder Coated Window Frame Restoration Chertsey

Project Details

How you can restore your faded powder coated aluminium window frames?

Office building powder coated aluminium window frames often become faded and chalky and look unsightly. Take a look at this example below

You may have clean glass but the aluminium window frames need proper attention too.

Why have they become faded when you have a window cleaner?

The window cleaner uses purified water to clean the glass and is often unaware of how volatile the water is acting on the framework and surrounding surfaces.

Not just the window cleaner but the sun and its UV rays cause fading to the window frame as well as atmospheric and organic pollutants.

There is a process for returning the aluminium window frames back to their original colour without painting them.

Purple Rhino has developed a three step process to bring back the original colour.

First we must remove the damaged top layer that has become faded or “chalky” to the touch. Only a micron in thickness is taken off by hand method using our highly advanced renovating creme. It is then essential to apply by microfibre cloth the second step which ensures the frame is clean and prepared for the third and final step which is a Hydrophobic coating which will repel water, oils, minerals and has UV protectant built in. This process will bring back the offices aluminium powder coated window frames back to their original colour and will protect them in the future.

Our three step process can also be used on;

  • Plastic Coated Aluminium Cladding
  • Stainless Steel
  • Oxidised Aluminium
  • Any Painted Metal
  • Any Plastic Sign
  • Gutters & Downpipes can be restored also

Requirement

Haynesfield House

Is an office building located in Chertsey and is in a prime location.

A great deal of money is being spent to refurbish the inside offices in readiness for new tennants.

The window frames looked worn out and costly replacement was considered.

Solution

Sample cleans were undertaken on the powder coated surfaces of the aluminium window frames.

The Purple Rhino 3 step process was chosen because the results looked amazing and was cheaper than replacement or repainting.

From arranging a sample clean, quotation and all H&S documents was made easy by Purple Rhino.

A site specific access plan was implemented and the whole process just took a few days to completely make all of the aluminium window frames look like new.

The Purple Rhino three step process is a remarkable innovative product that works and gives excellent long lasting results.

  • “Purple Rhino first sent us through an informative booklet about Industrial building cleaning in March 2013, I invited them down to survey our six storey building in Crawley, West Sussex known as The Atrium, they agreed to carry out a test sample FREE of charge and without obligation. The test results were extremely positive and it was agreed that the whole building façade and glass restoration service was needed to make the building look presentable once again. The works took them just over three weeks, and they gained access by using the building’s own cradle system and the use of Access Platforms, with minimal disruption to our staff and neighbours, the building now looks extremely good as it did when constructed. We will be using Purple Rhino for an agreed scheduled cleaning service to keep the building looking pristine at all times”
